Home isn’t a place. It’s a feeling. And for a lot of people, that feeling is all about finding comfort.
Our research found that 93% of us say that ‘comfort’ is the most important feeling of home.
Are you sitting comfortably? Good. Because it turns out that comfort is the most important factor when it comes to creating the feeling of ‘home’ at home. But achieving comfort looks different to all of us.
For Mehek, it’s about having the time and space to perform daily rituals in her Mumbai home. “Prayer is a special part of my day. This I do thrice a day,” she explains. Her process involves burning traditional dias lamps alongside performing puja, a Hindu act of worship which includes lighting incense and ringing bells.
She does this all to attract the right energy into her home, which in turn, makes it more comfortable to live in. “I believe in good vibes, positive vibes,” Mehek affirms.
Of course, that’s just one take on home comforts. However you set up your home to achieve more peace and contentment – comfort really is one of the key ingredients to a happy home.
